Dear friends

As you may already know, on 27th February 2009, a consortium of local residents, led by myself, purchased The White Hart Public House in Shurlock Row from Enterprise Inns.

I have lived in Shurlock Row for many years now over which time I have often dreamed of turning this lovely old building into the type of pub and restaurant that any village would be proud of. I have previous experience in the catering industry and decided to bring together a group of local people to help me to realise my dream and to save it from outside interference.

It is my belief that a good pub should be a warm and inviting place where friends and neighbours can look forward to getting together for a drink and a meal. It should be at the heart of a community and provide good food and service, at a reasonable price, in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. This is our ethos and we have decided to re-name the pub “The Shurlock Inn” to represent our commitment to creating a place for the village.
